    Icon7 3.6 motor or disqu

At present i have a 36v motor but am now thinkin should i change to the disq as all new sat reciever are only available with this? Is disq now just as fast as 36v motors?
I have a dreambox but am using my old echostar to move the dish. i need to start removing components from my av setup which are not really necessary.

all depends on the size of your dish. disec motors are designed for dishes 1.2m and down.

36v motors are better and stronger than disec. you can get a converter, that turns disec signals to 36 volts.

Yes a VBOX II is the one to convert disec signals into 36 volts. If its a big dish over 1.2 meters then stick to 36 volts motor or risk getting it damaged to high winds.

Disec is good for small dishes but not good on large like a Channel Master 1.2 meter dish.

Hope it answers your question my friend.

stick with the 36v m8. Much more heavy duty. You never know you might get a bigger dish in the future!
