    dynanic settings

hi my mate has a new samsung lcd tv .the trouble is he leaves his settings on dynamic i.e contrast on 100 per cent etc.would this burn out the tube far quicker,or is there a difference between a lcd tube and a standard television tube.

If the Samsung is anything like my Sony LCD you would be better tweaking all settings and you will be surprised how much better a picture you are likely to get.

It means adjusting all the setteings, like lowering\highering contrast, brightness, sharpness, backlight and noise reduction etc. There should also be an option to alter picture format to something like vivid, normal or cinema etc. Right out of the box my Sony had everything set on maximum with a vivid picture mode and the picture quality to my eyes was unwatchable.
