goran thanks for reply, but this seems more serious than anything before ,switching on and off and holding left arrow key on front has no effect at all , there is no life at all and no lights at front of sammy.you have helped a lot in the past but like i said , this seems more serious.

To get the channels to work, Moon, that's why. Some make their settings lists by importing the lot from *********, so, inevitably, some won't work until you rescan that transponder.

We thank them for their good work, of course but Sammy likes to have it his way...

No need for dummy conax card MOON. I actually saved my channel list first then did a factory default before installing, then loaded channels back

If your method worked and you had no problems then fine, no need for a re-scan

This isn't a fix for TPS so don't expect it to work

I have the same loader as you, 501, so you're o.k. Only those with 500 loader seem to be having the problem

    Hello Sammy M8's

Did the same as McDude, saved the channel list with SetEdit, and then reinstalled said list with SetEdit ater loading the EMU and RAM, and it worked just fine, the only problem I had was to figure out how to add/remove/and edit BISS-providers to my own preferance, but that is also sorted out by now.
Personally, the Gold EMU is the best that I have experinced, so a BIG thank you to MAHDI for his excellent work.

Not only could I remove the dummy card from the Sammy, I also removed the Dragon Cam, because with the Studio Editor, there is no more need for a Cam.

Hope that the update-fix to 501 is in progress, so that the people with 500 loaders, also soon can experince the best ever Sammy EMU.

    Cheers,
    Jambo

j-tag seems very complicated to me,from what i can gather it is all making leads ,and soldering inside sammy.this is a different story than programming cards, ram files ,editors and emu,s.i was looking forward to emu gold but now seems i was to keen, and paid the price( dead sammy).

Yes it does look like a complicated process. I wouldn't do it myself unless i had to.

Sorry to hear that about your sammy. Maybe you can find a sat shop that will do it for you

Another case of early adopters suffering. My Sammy must be an older model because it has a JTAG socket inside so no soldering if I can get or make a lead to my JTAG board.

Edit: I have now seen detailed instructions on Papagen's by Okaso66, who has got his Sammy working using revive_ultra and jtag.

Confirm that reflashing via jtag using the bits and pieces from Revive_Ultra and Sammy jtag loader 501 have brought the STB back to normal. With STB now also with loader 501.
