Astra 2D
I need to replace my LNB on my Aris dish as it is three or more years old
and the signal quality has reduced a lot after some recent heavy storms !
What is the difference between an Invacom C120 Quad and Quattro please!

First try drying it out and then remake the F connectors after cutting a few inches off the coax. Water in the cable loses you a lot.
I assume you have tried re-aligning the dish as storms also mean high winds.

V.I.P
Quad. A universal LNB with 4 independent outputs.
(Each STB believes it has got its own LNB)
Quattro. An LNB with 4 dedicated outputs.
(It does not respond to H/V voltage switching or 22kHz band switching.)
1) Lo Band - Horizontal Polarisation
2) Lo Band - Vertical Polarisation
3) Hi Band - Horizontal Polarisation
4) Hi Band - Vertical Polarisation
Intended to drive a much larger distribution system where a distribution box then selects the relevant output.
BTW there are Octos now. An LNB with 8 independent outputs.
(Each STB believes it has got its own LNB)

Octo
An octo is just a quattro with an 8 way switch inside.
