    Discovery channels on 4.5E

Has anyone had any luck in getting the video back working on the Discovery powervu channels? I have tried adding the video pid in lamedb file, but no luck.

I have managed to get the video back on ESP pan hd which is fta, but no luck with the powervu channels. I think a updated Oscam emu is needed.

They have updated oscam-svn to fix the discovery channels (requires lamedb edits like the bbc package on 27.5W).

However the "fix" seems to have broken the remains of 28.2E and who knows what other packages.

Managed to get some the powervu channels working with new oscam emu and editing lamedb file, but as CokeAddict said the fix has stopped 28.3E channels opening.
So I have reverted to previous oscam which was working fine on 28.2E, but now it isn't...Why? Any ideas?

No idea on that one, I just switched back to the previous oscam binary I was using and it started working again

Well that was a waste of time. Powervu channels have now left 4.8E

Yes you right - 12360V Discovery PV gone now, yet I'd only recently rescanned them in!

The channels have ceased broadcasting on 0.8w & 4.8e. Only 9E now in Viaccess.

Are they? I have not checked. Only going by what many people have been saying.

Only getting sound now on 1W. So is this really the end or is it just my setup being behind the times?

Great updating keys like in the good old days while it lasted.

So just to recap here, are we saying that many are still there (i.e. scanned in) but not opening as they were previously?
(This is presumably only Discovery channels anyway?)

Yes. That is roughly the size of what has happened. I'll confess to not be as interested in the channels on 5E are I was the ones on 1W but they were opening up until a couple of weeks ago. Now only getting the audio & my STB is interpreting the channels as Radio channels. So I guess either the video mode has changed or the encryption may have done.

So was hoping that there might be a fix coming to OScam or Ncam?

Audio and Video are still possible on Discovery 1°W. You need oscam 11704 and to specify the A/V pids in the lamedb file.
