BBC I player won't work on my android TV box worked 3 weeks ago before I went on holiday works perfectly on my android tablet any ideas

Ok on my Sony mate, watching The Met part one as I type! Maybe your tv wants a reboot, i.e. take power lead out and switch on again?

I'm now using a. X96 max+ android box running android 9.0 but it won't let me install BBC I player says this version of I player is not compatible ?

My Sony TV has twice had software updates this past month, so maybe that was also something to do with all this - yet iPlayer never failed for me anyway!
