    MAG256Wi

    Hi all
Have just purchased a MAG256Wi there is a pink button to the rear does this need pressing in? Don't want to just go ahead without expert advice?

Is this the button you refer to ?
    Copied from the 256W1 Manual

    Purpose of service button
The service button (FN button) is located on the rear panel of the STB MAG-256 on the left from LAN socket. It is intended to emergency recovery STB operation.

In normal mode the STB is booted automatically according to preset settings, access to the System Recovery Utility menu is available. Service button should use if STB fails to boot and there is no access to the System Recovery Utility menu.

    Exactly.

Its what everybody should do before they ask the question, if they can be bothered.

Exactly, I do not see the point of buying something new, and not reading the user manual before you start using with the item, but as previously stated the number of posters who do not even bother reading and then come on here and ask questions, which could have been answered, had they taken a few minutes to read the instructions.

Thinking of removing the rubber feet to lower the box purely for aesthetics...worked well on my Fiesta.
