Help please IDENT Error UNINIT STC ICECRYPT1650CHD

Hi, could anyone please tell me how to get this error message removed, I loaded the latest firmware 1.2.65 all went well until the reboot then the error message came up.

I have searched the forums and tried several bootloaders to no avail i am not very technical so would appreciate any help thanks.

check out the icecrypt 1600 post below do a factory reset,you may have a similar problem

looks like you may have downloaded the wrong update or faulty update only repair is via the rs232 jack socket and laptop or computer and new or correct software for your receiver

iv'e got the rs232 and laptop i don't know what to load into it the update for the 1650 was the last one on here but the date is 2014.

you will need to find the icecrypt loader program and install on your laptop,then find the correct software and send it to your receiver,dont know if the program is on satpimps but someone may have it and point you in right dirrection.

This may sound stupid but can you use the updates for the 1600 or are they different as their don't seem to be any resent updates for the 1650?

AFAIK they are all different and you should only use the correct one for your model, even if it is several years old

try fixing it using the one that was working prior to your last update

also, I would use a desktop or tower with rs232 port , preferably running win XP , NOT a laptop

have you read the post (icecrypt dead after software update,),,re.....rename download on usb stick to and follow instructions

Just done that still the same can't think of anything else to do, did not realise you needed to do this the guy on **** said it would pick up bbc in spain just thought you plugged into your sat dish.

remember all usb sticks are not compatable ,try a different one ,that is clean and formatted

Formatted and reloaded but same result icecrypt should have put a factory reset switch on would have made life easier.

Still not working tried 4 flash drives formatted each one changed name of original firmware to auto1.abs and followed instructions on how to load. Down loaded recovery tool from coldasice tried that but tool keep saying box in error mode and then stopped working.
