Icecrypt S1600C patched firmware version 1.6.41

Could anyone please be kind enough to help
just spent over 2 hours trying to install firmware via USB to new Icecrypt S1600 CHD
repeatedly states failed to copy files

try different usb stick.use empty/reformatted stick,also try another clean download..

Thanks Joe Maddison,

I have emptied the new USB stick and tried numerous times but continually fails to upgrade

I printed off the very helpful and descriptive instructions from this forum
managed to back up the original factory installed firmware on one brand new USBB stick

On another brand new stick - I have managed to download below files onto stick -
When I try and upgrade by USB - the Icecrypt is displaying the files as below but unable to upgrade

Do I need to download this below file in any particular format or just download straight to USB as is ?

Any suggestions or help greatly and truly appreciated

take it that you did unzip the file before loading it to usb stick,and is it the correct file for your model of box,also does this box have an online update

Hi Joe - Thank you - I was trying to download the file for non SE version - I stupidly didn't realise that I had the SE model

Update from USB now complete

Tried to then update using ethernet cable to router - CONNECT TO SERVER FAILED !

Also, I am failing to enter 1407 on the CA settings (card info) page to allow me to enter biss codes

Hi

The screen you have entered are not the BISS key screen
I have atached a guide which l prepared on how to enter BISS key

The online updates don't exist anymore as Icerypt are no longer live as indicated on other posts

Ok I am pretty confident that I have done everything correctly

Am I correct in thinking that I need to wait until I am actually in Portugal/Spain before I can log onto hispastat ?

That correct unless your satdish is large enough to get 30 West and 27.5 west from your current location
In Portugal l can get both on the same dish as they are close
