VPN n Spain for UK channels?

I want to setup a VPN here in Spain to view channels in the UK. My system is "Radio" type internet not land line.
Do I have to setup the VPN through my Router? or other means?
Never setup VPN before complete novice

BetterNet is another one that I use.
Both are FREE.

I use Digibit VPN when in Lanzarote for iPlayer. My internet is 4G and just run the app on Firestick or Android box, pick a UK server then open iPlayer.
