    9º East channels

The cluster of American channels on 9º East has been working fine lately, but suddenly stopped yesterday. A check online in the usual places reveals no operational changes.

Where there could be changes is at the level of SIDS and VPIDS (among others). Most satellite boxes are able to modify these values, but I can't locate where our HiTech Box can do this.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks.

    You just need to rescan - they've gone to 11.804 V 27,500 2/3 8PSK, all in HD.

Actually they were already on 11.804. Searching the same frequency manually I managed to download an expanded cluster, but still no joy, the scrambled caption continues.

    Thanks for your input.

I'm not familiar with your box, but for enigma 2 boxes (mine is a Vu+ Solo2) the SIDS have also changed so you need to update SoftCam.Keys for oscam-emu to decrypt them.

This is along the lines I was expecting. I'll give it a whirl and get back if I can get it to work.

    Thanks.

After searching around it appears the HiTech Box has no provision for modifying modulation , FEC values, etc. By way of contrast, the Spiderbox 9900 under manual search is a breeze.

The only other possibility was a rescan --suggested by paulus-- but that didn't work. A pity that this otherwise great little box falls short. Maybe in a future software update?
