You should get a signal, even when the dish is pointing at the grouns, by increasing the sensitivity, turning the knob, you get it to around 5, then move your dish, until it reches 10, decrease sensitivity, so it reads 5, move the dish, to get to 10, and keep doing this until you have the strongest signal, then check which satellite you're on.
As an afterthought Mickha, I'm homing in on several satellites whilst scanning the skies but the receiver which is tuned to the 907 isn't beeping to tell me I'm hitting it. Do you know if there is there any way to tell me which satellites I'm actually tuning into?
