To manually install an Oscam.ipk file you transfer it to the tmp folder, not the bin folder.
Did you read post #4, in this thread?
"On the left hand side you should see your PC's files, on the right your VU+ files.
Just navigate to the Oscam.ipk file, you have just downloaded, and drag, and drop them, into the tmp folder, on the lower right.
Once done go to your receiver, press the green button, followed by the yellow button, on your remote, and select the Manually install ipk files.
Select the Oscam file and press OK.
Wait for the receiver to finish loading it, and probably re-boot, then press your Blue Button, followed by the < > arrow button, and select Oscam."

the oscam I linked to (post 22) contains only the oscam binary file so can be dropped into the usr/bin folder. it wont replace any other files

    That's CCcam230, not Oscam.
You aren't stupid, just learning, we've all been there.
Can you please post which Oscam file you are dragging into your tmp folder.
3tv's link isn't a .ipk file, and can't be loaded automatically.
As 3tv has a Fransat card, that's working on his VU+ receiver, follow his instructions, of placing his file in the user folder, bin sub folder, using Filezilla.
Just drag the Oscam file, from your PC, and drop it in the bin sub folder.
Hopefully 3tv can get your card working.
Does the VU+ Duo card reader have the chip facing downwards, or upwards?

You seem to have downladed the wrong one, 3tv said post #22, not #23.
A .tgz file is strictly for Blackhole, you install it like a .ipk file except you select Manually Install blackhole, not Manually install ipk.

In your attached picture you have 192.168.1.95:10002, yet in a previous post you posted:

"now reboot your receiver. Hopefully fransat will now open, you can login into your oscam with 192.168.0.95:10002 to see what version your running. Hopefully its new enough to read the Fran

    I can't go to 192.168.0.95:10002
    How you find this code"
