    uk dab

    just wondering if uk dab radio will work ok in spain

    I would say depends on how old the radio is? & system they use
    Is it DAB & DAB+
    Im sure Germany they use DAB+ now
    The UK in last months has switched on DAB+ transmitters
    My in car radio has both as its sold all over Europe

    No they do not have it, ( where I live anyway ) you have to get digi radio through TV, if you have access to the net then you can get most of the uk channels
    using a number of net radio streams. You cannot get Radio 5 etc on the net when there is a major event ( ie: EPL ) transmitting.

    Maurice -could u not use a VPN to access local radio service etc?
    A internet radio is the best way forward as it opens up 1000's of stations

    I have one of those and it is brilliant but expensive.

    I do not know if the net transmit "The Sport" in the UK!!!
    I did try last time I was in the UK but due to contractual reasons they did not.
    All other times 99% work fine without a VPN with my net.

    DAB radio is a turkey, its a ragbag of problems, ana-logue is far superior due to its simplicity, if you like non stop pressing unresponsive buttons DAB might be appealing.

    ok thanks to all replies only need for local stations in benidorm the English ones so fm radio should be ok dab looks like a waste of money but they work ok over here
