LG TV IPTV need to lock some channels or groups .

I have downloaded a channel list and got it running and I am very impressed.

There are some channels nearly all in the over 18's group I need to lock but how do I do it .

I cant find anything on the IPTV app or on the channel list .

Do I have to edit it before loading up with some sort of program editor ?

You can't using the smart iptv app.
You have to contact your provider and ask them to block those channels

one way to do it, would be a bit time consuming mind

    download the m3u file,
    make two copies

copy one - leave intact and call it full list
copy two - open in notepad, find the channels and delete the channel links, save as family list.

put the file onto a usb drive and play on tv , or if the tv only excepts links , upload it to a your dropbox and get a link from there.

one desktop app worth trying is ESettings+

You can set up a pin for each individual channel

For example if you have this

    #EXTM3U
    #EXTINF:0 tvg-id="BBCOneHD.uk" group-title="UK TV",101 - BBC 1 HD
    http://wedonotknow.tk:5454/live/1234/4321/14063.ts

    Then put in parent-code="1234"

    So it looks like this

    #EXTM3U
    #EXTINF:0 tvg-id="BBCOneHD.uk" group-title="UK TV", parent-code="1234",101 - BBC 1 HD
    http://wedonotknow.tk:5454/live/1234/4321/14063.ts

You can change PIN number to any 4 digit you like
