    Is your receiver scanning in the channels?
    My receiver, a VU+ Duo2, running Open Blackhole, scans in the channels, shows a very good signal quality, but then doesn't allow them to be displayed, claiming a Tuner Configuration error, which should have meant that the channels wouldn't scan in.
    I also tested them on my old Spiderbox 9000HD receiver, and this time they scan in and can be viewed.
    If you have access to another receiver try that, if not check your receivers software, and check you haven't scanned in too many channels already.

    Just goit them working, on my VU+ Duo2, but had to by-pass my V-Box II, connecting the cable directly to my receiver, and they scanned in, and opened.
    @jeetley2 what's your signal quality readings on BBC World, 11771 V 27500 DVB-S?

    Tree or foliage or weeds blocking signal, dish not aligned properly and your picking up another satellite that has signal level but not the same frequencies your trying to tune in on 30w.

    If you have a decent signal level do a blind scan and see what you get, it will soon be obvious what sat you are on.

    Hi Mickha, On frequency 11771V 27500 DVB-S Signal 88% Quality 79%. MTV Rocks, BBC World working fine. All the DVB-S free view channels working. May be my Dish needs a slight nudge as Tony0 suggested. There is no obstruction at all in the way of satellite path. All the channels are in the list are Hispasat 30deg channels.

    I only get around 77% signal quality, on BBC World, as my dish isn't fully aligned, for far west satellites, yet I still get all the HD channels, with around 75% signal quality, but each receiver has it's own signal quality readings.
    If you can borrow, or have access to, a different HD satellite receiver, please try scanning in the channels using that.
    You might also try altering the frequency, slightly, from 12246 H to 12249 H 27500 DVB-S2 8PSK 3/4, and even try QPSK.
    Is this a fixed dish, or motorized dish?
    If motorized you can try using the fine tune option, in the menu, to get the strongest signal quality on BBC World.

    Hi Mickha and all the helping members, I have sorted the problem. It was my Technomate LNB 0.1db which caused the problem. This LNB gave me all the correct symptoms. DVB-S2 8PSK channels on 0.8deg west was working ok but none of the DVB-S2 frequencies will work on 30deg west. I even tried on my Spider Box 6000 but no luck. I have just put a brand new LNB and all the channels come alive. Signal on DVB-S2 8PSK now S=85% and Q=68% and DVB-S signal is far higher now. An other lesson learnt which I put in my book. Thanks all for your help much appreciated. Regards

    Hi...DVb S is standard definition or SD and DVB S2 is HD plus SD.. How many channels are you able to tune in using blind scan as your dish/LNB may need tweaking. Although 30 west is a strong satellite the dish needs to be tilted correctly for all available channels to be picked up. Also some beams do not transmit to Europe/UK as they are meant for other destinations ie Latin America as far as i am aware . Regards
