    Hispasat 30Deg west DVBS2 signal

Hi, I can't pick up DVB S2 8PSK signal on this sat. I got 81% Signal bar but no Q signal. All the DVBS S & Q signal works fine. The Q signal on DVBS is 78% but no Q signal on DVBS2 QPSK. My Dish size is 80cm with Technomate LNB 0.1db. Any suggestion please? Regards

I haven't bothered with 30W, for some time, I did notice a few DVB-S2 on the America beam.
    Try manually scanning in the Europe beam channels on 12246 H 27500 DVB-S2 8PSK 3/4, 12399 H 27500 DVB-S2 8PSK 3/4, 12437 H 27500DVB-S2 8PSK 3/4, and 12476 H 27500 DVB-S2 8PSK 3/4, and please post back with the results.

Hi Cosworth, Not particular one channel. Out of curiosity why can't I pick up DVB-S2 8PSK channels when DVB-S channels are OK. There must be something not right somewhere unless they have lower signal strength on DVB-S2 8PSK channels.

I have noticed that all the DVB-S2 channels, on 30W, are Horizontal polarity, what are your readings on the SD Horizontal channels?

Not really. I used to get them all few weeks ago. Even during the last few days of sunshine I couldn't receive the signal on these channels. Never mind its not the end of the world. Its just a question of why why if the others ok why not these. As I am of Electronic back ground old man and in the habit of diagnosing problems just to raise my stress level and blood pressure for nothing. Regards.

I've jsut tried scanning them in, and there was no problem, at least manually scanning them in, but I've just switched to Open Blackhole, from Blackhole, on my VU+ Duo 2, and for some reason, when I select the channels, I get a service error message, asking me to configure the tuner, which is configured, as I can view all the other channels, I loaded from my saved channel list.

Sometime, over the weekend, I might try a different image and try again.
I've had two crashes, already, on Open Blackhole, in a few hours, whereas I never had one, using Blackhole, in 2 years.

My box is Hitech HB9000 HD which picks up most of the DVB-S2 8PSK channels on the other satellites OK. I am only having problem with 30deg west Sat DVB-S2 channels only.
