Nope its faval 1.3 x 1.25 and now its got a bend in the bottom of the outer surface but I hope it does not effect the face. The ground mount t brackets where stopping me going to 26e ok for 7w but I was trying to put a motor on and tighten the bolts up on the dish and it dropped. I'll straighten the outer edge and it will be ok.

Thanks for all the help and advice guys.

I set my dish up using Thor at 0.8 west as my reference. When I press GOTO 0 should my dish move to 0.8 west? Because it does not seem to receive a signal after GOTO 0 is pressed.

This may account for me getting a stronger signal when I tweak my long and lat settings?

Was your Motor set to 0, before you rotated it around the pole to line up on 0.8 W?
If not, this would explain why you have no signal.

I didn't install it so I can't be sure. I am researching how to install a system though so I can re-align and maintain the system as and when needed.

Bein Sports at 7 West is relatively easy to pick up, I can get it any time of day.

The Yes package on 4 west is very hard to get in the UK.

I wonder if RimaNTSS can get Bein Sports on 25.5 east ?

Would love to know what size dish would pick it up in UK

Tried 25.5*E ...... could not lock any transponder. My location is N-E from Riga, Latvia. My wife does not care about my dishes as long as do not touch her dishes in the kitchen So I am allowed to install anything. Of course, I should do all the "honeydos" and do not spend too much money on my hobbies. My farm is pretty modest

I didn't realise you were in Latvia.

What about the YES TV Israeli package on 4 west ?

I have never seen anything like your set of dishes.

I do not know about 4*W, will try it someday. The big dish usually stays parked at 28.5*E position for reception of channels from 28.5*E (UK beam).

Good idea! That might work. If we have bigger dish we will be able to watch 25.2*E! Only one obstacle here.... wife does not watch TV at all, well, just some soap-opera. Are there any soap-operas on 25.5*E?

An update to my original post. To try and maximise the amount of channels I receive from this satellite. I peaked the dish on Thor 0.8w again to ensure I received a good signal. I then checked the arc from 30w to 53e to ensure my dish tracked the arc correctly. I then scanned 26e for signals and found I only received the following transponders 11977V, 11966H and 12523H.

I left usals settings set to my correct long/lat and edited the satellite.xml file for BADR 26e from 26e to 25.1. I now receive more transponders, even some on the FSS feed which surprised me has I live in Leeds.

I don't receive 100's of channels but the ones I do receive are far more interesting than the originals ones I received.

If anyone reading this is struggling with 26e, I would recommend editing the satellite.xml instead of changing your longitude has it will alter the dish position for that BADR 26e only and not every satellite across the arc.
