Why do people want to watch such things ?

A bunch of over paid and overrated luvvies awarding each other prizes for doing what they are already very handsomely rewarded for by being extremely well paid.

Even without the politically correct box ticking fiasco of this year, the films that get most of the accolades are not usually the best ones.
