You can have a preview and print the full specs, if you are interested in any of them.

The problem with these really big TVs is that they are too big to watch normal day to day TV stuff and even at 75 inches they are not that immersive for 3D, even if they were 3D capable.

I like to use my projector when I want to be more like being at the cinema, without the volume being too loud and people squeezing past when they come in after the film has started or need to go to the toilet and without kids talking or eating noisy snacks.
That way it makes movie nights, especially in 3D, more special and I would love to go even bigger but my screen only gives me an 85 inch picture but with the lights out and the 3D glasses on you feel really immersed in the action

I hope that affordable 4K projectors with 3D are not too far off.
Optoma have a non 3D one coming out around June for just over £2000 so hopefully once the others catch up they will bring the prices down and add the 3D to them

Well sorry Sandra but can't agree with that at all, as I have a very large lounge containing my 3yr old 65" Pannie plasma tv - and bearing in mind I watch 95% progs in HD, I find it absolutely brilliant, both close up AND at distance!
As for 3D, who ever watches that nowadays anyway - surely Sky no longer even provide a 3D channel?

Sky UK doesn't do 3D any more but there are lots of 3D movies and do***entaries and they are still filming in real 3D not just doing 2D then converting them afterwards as they did with some when Avatar and that generation of 3D films came out.

If I have a choice of watching a film in 3D or in 4K then I will always fire up my projector and watch it in 3D, even though 4K does look very impressive, it is not as engrossing or as immersive as 3D is.

Ideally I want a 4K 3D projector for those special move night occasions

Well in MY opinion - and experience of 3D tv - whilst it can be amazing, it also comes over as being quite dark too, it doesn't look right, despite increasing brightness etc., so maybe Sandra has a point here with the 'projection' option?
It's still a sign of it's NON success that it's only Sky De still runs a 3D option, with NONE left elsewhere via satellite or internet tv!

most manufacturers have dropped 3D from there 2017 tv's. 3D in the home is dead. The only place ill watch 3D these days is at the the BFI IMAX Waterloo, now that's immersive. In the home 65" is the new 42" you can never have a to big of a tv when my current 65" goes bang I would like to skip 75" and go straight to 85"

It isn't dead in my home by a long way.
There is even more 3D content available now on Kodi so I suspect that my projector will not be being permanently switched off any time soon.

I watched the pre season testing from Barcelona a couple of years back when Sky UK still did 3D and they tried it out on the F1. I never knew that there was such a large hump in the track on the pit straight as it showed in the 3D filming, or how steeply banked some corner were. I have not noticed that hump or the banked corners when watching F1 or MotoGP from Barcelona when watching it in 2D.

It was a shame that they never showed a full race in 3D or any MotoGP but the Isle of Man TT do***entary in 3D was quite good but it was only really a compilation of lots of bits over the years so the picture quality from the early years was not that good.

Interesting Sandra - although mine was a 65" plasma Pannie I enjoyed the very few tennis matches they ever covered and found them to be great - even despite the slight darkness we always experience with 3D on plasma - so YES, I still don't know why they never persevered with that either!
I even seem to remember snooker being covered, albeit rarely which also seemed fairly good, yet one can only assume that 'they' (whoever 'they' were!! lol!!) decided against 3D as an ongoing option!

broadcast 3D blows due to having to us SBS, the drop in pq compaired to 3D bluray was far to noticeable for my liking. If the TV manufacturers have abandoned the format then expect the studios to do the same, for home consumption. Wish id kept the 3d SBS 2010 world cup matches to compare with 4k. I know which I would rather watch. I wont be losing any sleep with the lack of 3D TV's

It is always nice to have both so you can choose, unfortunately if they no longer make the TV then you are restricted to watching in cinemas or on home projectors.

I should be OK for a few years yet as I have a 42 inch and a 48 inch 3D TV and my 3D capable projector.
I would be very unlucky for all three to go faulty irreparably before I have bought a newer and better 3D capable projector to replace my current one.
I shouldn't need any more TVs for a bit now as my 48 inch 3D one is also a smart 4K one that is only just over 12 months old
