I have currently a Panasonic Viera 65" 1080P version now 3 yrs old, which replaced my previous Viera too - so if the latest Panasonic Viera TX58DX902B is anywhere NEAR as good as MY recent Panasonic experiences, you won't go far wrong mate - all in MY opinion of course!!
I sent my one back and got a samsung. Samsung is alot better and faster
I had the 50 inch in the bedroom last Saturday ,up to now well pleased
this was one of my choices mate in the 65" version it is a great screen with a beautifully vibrant picture, but there are issues with motion blur and input lag only relevant if your a gamer, the price also .i weighed it up and didnt think it was worth the 700 quid more than the Samsung KS8000 that i went for in the end
Thanks for your info'
I have had a offer:Panasonic TX58DX902B-£1699,plus the Panasonic DMPUB900 £249, usually (499),Which is a good buy,i could take a store card and get 6 months interest free + free delivery.
within the next two to three months, there will be OLED TVs from Sony,Panasonic and LG,i imagine with the way the pound is there will be big price increases.
Think there's a lot of 'interplay' between Samsung, LG and the like, with many being 'inside' one anothers' configurations, but bottom line is that one of the former market leaders Pioneer's tv production was taken over by Panasonic a few years ago - which thus helped make Pannie the main market leader over the likes of other greats such as Sony, etc!
I think its widely accepted that pioneer made the best tvs which were plasma. they then stopped making tvs and panasonic took the crown. Plasma is now dead and not made anymore because lcd was cheaper thinner lighter and consumed less Power.
Oled tvs are supposed to be the equivalent of plasma but are expensive to make and have been dropped by Samsung in favour of their suhd tvs.It seems lg are at the forefront with oled although panasonics latest 2017 offering may match them.
Problem with tv's everyone thinks the model/make they have is the best , and hard to convince them otherwise.
LG oled is concidered the best at the moment , but never will i buy another lg product.
Panasonic have oled's this year Samsung as well but Samsung's will be called Qled.
Im holding on to see how the new models fair , was hoping to get one ready for the start of F1 season but cant see it happening.

My panasonic is 5 yrs old in may when the guarantee runs outs and I was hoping the oled tvs would be a lot cheaper so a ready replacement. Now you have hdr, dolby atmos, and hlg to contend with .....getting a minefield. Also looks like there wont be many more 3d tvs made which I dont watch often but is handy to have.First flatscreen I had was a 42 inch lg and worked a treat ....lasted 5 years so no complaints.
