    kodi 17 krypton

kodi 17 krypton has finally been released
installed it on firestick for a friend no problem...totally different layout...took some miniutes to find
add scources etc...but once set up got fusion installed and all seems to be working fine
so after seen this i decided to install on my spare mygica 582...thats when i hit the problem
i downloaded correct file..for android from kodi website
tried to install krypton 17... like i have many times..kodi jarvis 16.1
no matter how i tried it would not install
but i now know why...krypton 17..requires 5.0 or higher to run
and seen has my mygica 582 box is android version 4.4.2 it will not install
put it on my samsung tab s which is android 6.1 works fine
so conclusion...untill mygica upgrade firmware for their boxs..ie mygica 582
i will have to stay on kodi jarvis16.1
posted this incase anyone running any box thats running android less than 5.0
is trying install and failing with kodi 17 krypton

You can make it look like Jarvis, just go into settings, interface settings then Skin then you can go to get more and select which one you want and it will be the same layout as you are used to on Jarvis.

have today installed krypton kodi 17 on a tonbux t11 box...android version 6.0.1
spent all afternoon throwing repos at it...working faultlessly
then i factory reset box..which installs jarvis 16.1...i then installed tvaddons..fusion
once it was set up..i on top of that installed kodi 17 krypton
i chose to keep my installed apps and repos...once this was done...all my apps updated to become compatable with kodi 17 krypton
works faultlessly and looks like jarvis 16.1 layout
then factory reset box...uninstalled kodi 16.1...installed krypton...then did what sandra suggested to get it look like jarvis layout
    once again it works fine
so its your choice how to install should you wish
just make sure your android device is version 5 or higher

Thanks for that, the reason I'm on satpimps was to ask the question why I could not update to v17 on mygica.

I know upgrading major versions has gotten better from the old days, but I think I am going to wait for a bit on this one.

I upgraded my ****** Fire TV box, my cheap Chinese android box and my windows 7 computer as well as a friend's ****** Firestick to Kodi Krypton 17 and installed the Paradox build 0129 on them all without any problems.

Each upgrade since 14 seems to have gone smoothly for me and each one has been an improvement in loading speed over the earlier ones, once the addons have updated. If you have not tried the Paradox builds, previously called BlackBox, give it a try as it has everything you could need from what I have seen and is the best build I have come across so far.

    Hi

Problem with Paradox is you have to Create an Full Account for the use of it
if you use,for example,THE BEAST you have to add a Mail Address and a user Name
    but not a Full Account.
Anyway which Build you use an update to Krypton is not the worst decision

You only need to register on their forum so that you can download the build, it is still free and I think Paradox is a lot better than the beast, or it was when I started off with the beast and moved from that to black box then to Paradox but the beast may have caught up to Paradox now of course.

    Hi

There are many builds and each has its own things, so it remains tasteless which one to use i, for example,
use at the moment THE BEAST mixed with other Wizard's like the ECHO Wizard or the HSK Wizard and i´m pleased with it.
But Krypton is relatively new, let's see what's coming.
I had on my Win 10 Desktop already Leia but that is still very buggy so i get back to Krypton

today i have installed krypton 17.1 on my tonbux t11
krypton 17...is good but on some android devices had a few minor issues
which by going in settings could be corrected
krypton 17.1 has those issues fixed
some of reported issues in krypton 17 on some android devices were
kodi unexpectedly closing...same show or film playing after you had closed and opened another
