IPTV text file not loading properly with 6000 ?

I've got lots of working IPTV links that are ok on my laptop and desktop but so far they wont work loading the spider 6k, I must have the written format slightly wrong for the 6000, they show in the list but dont play.

I've used the same layout as previous IPTV lists in the threads but something is obviously not quite right, anyone know the exact way in which they have to be written ? I've tried most versions of what others have used but so far nought.

    Hi
Only info is onsite, may need to search deeply into old posts but start in the link below, especially post #5 by Roadrunner

Hi The computer format ie VLC is different to the spiderbox format...thats why they work on computer and not Spiderbox.. You need to amend the file as follows:
#EXTM3U - This is mandatory for both formats and must be first line
    #EXTINF-- CHANNEL NAME
    http---ip address
Above format is for VLC/M3u and most type of receivers

for Spiderbox 6000 format is as follows:
    #EXTM3U
    channel name,http.......m3u8
    channel name,http.......m3u8
    channel name,http.......m3u8
Call the filename something like Spid040407.ipt and copy it to receiver.

hope this helps you and other members..... Regards.

Hi Here is a file for you to have a look at...i dont think channels open anymore but will give you an idea of what it looks like. I have hundreds of IPTV channels which i am going to sort out in next few days and post a copy. To be honest its not difficult to do but requires time and patience as from what i have seen all IPTV files tend to be in a format not suitable for Spiderbox without editing. Thing to remember is that normal IPTV files have two lines per channel and Spiderbox one line.

Success at last, the file I was using was totally incompatible with the spider, I switched to a different file from yesterday which had a .TS extension and changed it to m3u8 and it worked straight away.

    Thanks for the advice, TonyO

All working ok but most links only last a day, maybe worth doing at weekends but not everyday, probably worth doing on holiday abroad to watch yer favourite progs.
