Now got the 7020 and I'm really struggling with CCcam. What's the best version to use and the easiest way to install as I see the images no longer have install through Blue Panel? Oh and as an afterthought, the best image? Currently got Gemini 4.70 and Nabilosat Darkstar 2 on USB with Flash Wizard Multiboot

best cccam is v2.30 and usually it is installed by downloading and ftp and then installing an ipk file from the tmp folder using onboard menus

then you edit the cfg file in var/etc using an ftp program like dcc or filezilla or flash fxp as well

so download an ipk , ftp to tmp and install using an ipk installer option from the plugins menu or the actual box menu (or the blue panel) - all dependent on the image being used

files can also be ftp manually and chmod as appropriate

bin file to var/bin and chmod to 755 (or it may go into a softcams folder in some images , and chmod to 755)

cfg file to var/etc or usr/etc

you may need a script file to show up in the menu to start the emu running , dependent on the image

few people use dreamboxes nowadays but the processes can be similar as used on VU boxes and zgemma etc

I know they're old hat but they can still do a job. Thanks Ech, will the 7020 recognise an ipk? FTP is not a problem, that's the easy bit

If you're using a cam on it, I'm pretty sure the 7020 is Power PC based so you need to use a ppc version of that cam. Also If I was you, I'd skip CCcam and just use oscam - you can get a ppc version from here:

As for ipks, obviously these also need to be for ppc - mips binaries won't work on your box. Does your box have python installed???

If you're lost with that info, you should spend quite a bit of time reading posts and learning about your box - if people are giving you advice and you can't understand what they are talking about, that's down to the lack of reading on your part dude. ALL the info you require is been posted on this site and is very, very easy to find.

This should be perfect for what you need but you will need to spend a little time on the oscam wiki to get the most from it.

Was a little bit tongue in cheek tbh. Anyhow an update on my progress. I now have CCcam 2.1.1 up and working on the last Openpli beta and 2.3.0 working on Nabilo Darkstar 2. Once I got my head round editing the config it was quite simple. Might try a VU+ Solo 4k next, they look fun. Thanks for your help chaps
