i install external hard drive on vu+ duo 2
and hard drive was detected HDD
im using black hole 2.1.7
and when i try to initialise the hard drive every time says your stb encountered software problem

i had an issue initializing my hdd when i got my solo 2 worth a try,**edit** no think this was from my dreambox 800 still worth a try
... using DCC edit the fstab file,this is found in ect/ ,when you right click and press edit at the bottom where it refers to your HDD it has a hash in front of it,this kind off means "no" in linux so delete hash and save and should initialise straight away mine did

I seem to recall that you need to start the wizard, for USB devices, before attaching your device, to your receiver.
Go into the menu, Black Hole Apps, and select the USB wizard.

The latest Black Hole is 3.0.2, why are you still using 2.1.7?

i try what you suggested but still the same stb encountered soft ware problem

if theres no hash in front then dont think thats the issue

Try formatting a USB stick, using Black Hole, to see if that works.
The problem mgiht be hardware incomp-atibility, or your image has become corrupted.
Please list the make/model of your USB hard drive.
Why haven't you flashed the latest Black Hole image, 3.0.2?

i dont know how to change it
i dont want to damage the vu+duo2
