VU+ Solo2 Freezing

I have recently bought a VU+ Solo 2 with 750 GB hard drive
I verified the hard drive and installed a free gift

This was initially fine

However now most channels including ITV 2 HD and many other free view channels will play for approx. 10 seconds and then freeze. If I move up a channel the new channel will work for approx. 10 seconds and so on

Can anybody help please

which image do you have installed

That wouldn't explain FTA channels freezing, providing that he is checking FTA channels, as ITV2 HD is listed as encrypted, not FTA (Free To Air).
Hopefully the poster will return with more detailed information, including the channels, he's viewing, and the signal quality readings.

I would suggest that the OP checks proper FTA (Free To Air) channels like the following

BBC1 HD
BBC2 HD
ITV1 HD
C4 HD
C5 HD

and

bbc1 SD
bbc2 SD
itv1 sd


as well as checking the scrambled channels like

ITV2 HD
ITV3 HD
ITV4 HD

check the signal and quality levels are good to excellent too

so if FTA channels freeze there is a fundamental problem that needs to be rectified first

if its only scrambled channels that are freezing , then the "free gift" is cr*p

Firstly thank you for your comments

The channels that work are BBC 1 HD ,BBC2 HD, ITV1 HD CH4 HD and CH5 HD

ITV2,3,4HD Freeze along with all PPV channels .

The image I have is Open Vix which was pre flashed by an E*** seller so I believe this to be a genuine box

As I undetstand Kodi 16.1 this is set up and works fine ( Could this be the cause by using to much internal memory)

Assuming the gift is "CRAP", can any body recommend a good contact

Nobody will recommend "A Good Contact", asking, or suggesting, such a thing isn't allowed, for a very good reason, the forum would be swamped with spammers.
Try reading around, regarding CCcam, Oscam, etc..
Then try a google search, you should find many test lines, for a free period, usually 24 hours, that will allow you to test your receiver.

payservers and free "gifts" will not be tolerated and nobody will answer those topics

it appears that you only have trouble with paid for channels , so as those cannot be discussed on internet forums please limit yourself to legitimate TECHNICAL questions only

ps:- as for KODI, it its streaming content from "free" internet "sources" so it is likely to be those "sources" at fault and its a fact of life that if they are poor then so will your "service" , on the basis that cr*p IN = cr*p OUT !! (which also applies to your free "gift")

use your onscreen menus to check how much ram is in use and try to ensure it stays below 90% , or better still , below 80%

these issues wont be anything to do with the IMAGE in the box, so not an openVIX problem
