TM5402 M3 Super+ - Video connection problems?

Morning.

Just fired up the new receiver (bought new last week from a reputable supplier) - and then hit a major obstacle.

I can connect to a TV via HDMI with no problems. However, when I try to connect to a DVI-D & VGA inputs monitor (which is what I want/need to use for a lot of the o/a system setup at the bottom of the garden), the monitor never appears to get a signal on either input.

So far, I've done a couple of factory resets and then loaded the very latest (May 2016) patch - and neither has made any difference at all to the connection problems.

So does anyone have any (even vague!) idea what might be wrong?

Not sure what you mean by 'latest May 2016 M3 patch' mate, as the last one was 18/2/16 surely?
I am on 18/2 one which is no. 0.01P!

Sorry - you're correct- its the Feb 2016 patch (brain error).

The TM really does not want to work with my 2x DVI-D I/p monitors, so had to "borrow" the Front Bedroom HDMI TV - rather too big, but at least that works.

BTW: asked both the supplier and TM UK what the problem was (is!) last week but no answers so far!
