My wife and I had a nice walk this afternoon in Hitch Wood near Hitchin.
Sorry my Macbook has done it again, Photos 90% out.

Thanks for the offer but this walk was on our doorstep and was lets go for a walk this afternoon, I know where Hitch Wood. It's part of the Queens Mother's estate St Pauls Walden. Only a few of miles away from our house. Don't tell anyone that this part of Hertfordshire is heaven, we want to keep it to ourselves.
Got plenty of perennial bluebells in my garden which are looking great, but it's nothing to the total 'carpeting; we see on the roadsides, e.g. the Dukeries around Clumber Park in North Notts - etc etc!!
The previous cold weather of the last few weeks has kept all the bluebells alive here, they will be gone soon.
Yes TonyO, especially as the weather has now warmed up so!
It's funny that when I first saw this thread headline, I'd thought it was all about the 'Young at Heart' group!! lol!!
Birkacre is near me, bluebells are everywhere!
Hi Traveller if you live around Hitchin take a walk over Wilbury hills Letchworth leading to Ickleford village and look at the lavender fields lovely and so peaceful often go there on my mountain bike and just chill out and relax take the wife and try it out fella
I cycle pass there on my bike. Start at the end of Purwell Hitchin follow the cycle track to Willian, cross over to Spring road Letchworth, turn left up Icknield way, left at Willbury pub and down the hill to the Lavender fields. Down to Ickleford and back into Hitchin.

I think you mean the worlds end pub ...LOL
When they filmed the scene at the Wilbury sorry Worlds End I was working in Arlesey on coming home I got to Bedford Road / Stotfold Road mini roundabout the road was closed. All I wanted to do was to continue along Stotford Road pass the pub and down into Hitchin. Letchworth was grid locked it must have taken an extra 40 minutes.
When my Sons and I went to the Broadway cinema Letchworth to see the film most of the audience were chatting about the locations.
I should have taken notice that the road was going to be closed but going to and from work my mind was elsewhere.
