So far, not impressed with the VU+4K
Choppy picture on 2160p
Won't play hd mkv files
It's supposed to be a HD box!

What receiver did you have before?

I am going to upgrade from duo2 to solo 4k... I dont know if its a right decision ... money is involved

There is very little UHD available at the moment but does it not follow that a top of the range receiver needs a top of the range tv that has hdr built in is the ONLY way to experience UHD and anything else is a poor imitation. So any picture glitches would need to be qualified with make ,model, screen size of tv, program watched and source, ie sat, dvd or other. UHD is a whole new ball as was HD in the early stages.

I think my 4k is brilliant, i don't have a 4k tv but 4k reduced down to 1080p looks very impressive. Kodi works well and oscam works well once set up correctly.

ill stick with my duo 2 see how 4k gos on in the next few months with every thing going to happen
