due to my Vu+duo dying I've found my old DM800 which I last used about 6 years ago.
I need to install an mgcamd plugin. I've forgotten most things DM even though every Linux box is similar. Can someone please give me a simple guide on how to download and install this plugin. Also Where do I install the .cfg files etc

As it contains a mips processor - all those cam files go in the same locations as they would with any other enigma2 based box - and the mips version of mgcamd is the same as you would find on all other mips based boxes.
Scripts to start mgcamd are image dependent - so why not start with updating your image and then let people know what image you are using.
Yes put a more up to date image on and you will probably be able to download from the image plugin menu
then you'll just need to amend the configs/keys
startup scripts etc will all be installed for you
You can still use an Openpli image on it which is about the best you will find for it these days.
