Icecrypt STC3250CCIHD - basic newbie question on channel editing!

I only got the machine a few days ago to play around with, but have now got it set up to access 4x LNBs on 28E, 23E, 19E & 13E, and I blind-scanned those birds as a part of the general process of getting to know the box - and, of course, I now have an awful lot of channels and 2/3rds of them are either encrypted or I just don't want!

Therefore, is there any way - apart from manually deleting them 1-by-1 on the box itself (which I will do if I really have to!) - to delete all the dross I don't want?

PS: this Icecrypt is the first multisat Rx I've had for, probably, a decade - so please be gentle!

    Hi
There is a very BASIC editor that will allow you to edit the channels accordingly. Load your abs file and save to USB and upload your amended abs file. You can just upload the channels if you wish

Many thanks - that sounds like something I might be able to cope with, and so I will give it a go in the next couple of days!

After a couple of false starts (including a corrupted .abs file), I think I've got the hang of some of that and have managed to update and substantially reduce the number of channels on the box!

    Thanks again.

I'm taking things moderately slowly, and as I get more knowledgeable then I'll be open to trying something more advanced, and possibly a Linux-based box (never used Linux, so that will be a challenge in itself!) - but first I need to get the rest of the dishes, switches and cabling sorted.

    Evening

Now got further with setting up the dishes, and waiting for a couple of Diseqc switches to arrive to complete the outdoor stuff.

Therefore, I'm looking again at the receiver side of things, and will definitely need to do some serious channel editing to get rid of a lot of dross that will inevitably be picked up when I seriously scan the satellites.

I think I got the general hang some weeks ago of the "basic" channel editor that Ross kindly provided, as above, but I did find it a bit limiting and slow - thus can anyone suggest something a little more comprehensive and flexible?

    Thanks in advance.
