How to open MScam

Hi Guys
I have just got my Hitech HB9000 today from the Sponsor. I want to activate MScam. I have tried to put 1111111111 code but it keep saying 'activation failed'. Is there anything I am missing. I shall be greatful for your help as this little box becoming a bit of pain in the rectum. Regards

This is not the correct code.
Every box has a unique Mscamd code.Talk with your supplier.

Have you checked your emails to see if Lee has sent you your unique number, or maybe it was included with your bill of sale, mine was sent by email. Here is a copy of the email that Lee sen to me:

I've just been notified that you'll have to manually add the code to get access to MSCAM on your new Hightech Box.

Each customer gets their own unique 10 digit number for the MSCAM 12M gift.

Download the HitechBox patch firmware from

To access the secret menu after installing the patch firmware.

Go to Conditional Access
Press 1111

Select MSCAM
Enter your unique 10 digit number below.

Got my box from GW on Friday, and I also lost the bit of paper that came in the box.

When I am in Conditional Access 1111 does nothing for me.

have you installed the latest patch ? (like that advice tells you to do)

it wont work until you do so

the only guides and any advice are in this forum, there is nothing elsewhere so until somebody produces a guide F.O.C. and posts it you are stuck with what we have already and because its a new box, that isnt a lot

I did download the patch via http, but I guess that one is no good then?

Done the USB patch but still don't see where the 10 digit code goes. ?

its supposedly in the SECRET MENU

To access the secret menu after installing the patch firmware.

Go to Conditional Access
Press 1111

so go to Conditional Access

you wont see it

press 1111 on the remote (and maybe ok ?)

this should bring up the secret menu, the menu you are looking for to put in the mscam 10 digit code

as for the patch, the aldo instructions clearly stated to download the usb patch from the satpimps link

it did not mention using any http installer from the menu

Where does the 10 digit number go?

Is it under Net Client Reader 1 where it says Password under SuperIKS or Mscamd ?

I think I found it now???

You have to press Red Button to get the Menu??

the box has a 1 year sub to mscam , not IKS , so I believe it would go in the mscam section like aldo clearly said

I followed the blackdevil guide and had no problems, Sat Installation / Installation / Conditional Access / 1111 / Net Client / Press red button Active Account / Down to MScamd service / OK button / OK button on Active code and enter your 10 digit code / FAV button to save.

Full User Guide.? yes I have started one but it won't be anytime soon as this STB has MUCH more to offer and more Menu systems to go through and its all done freely in my own time.

4) Press Red Button
5) Choose Mscamd service
6) Active code > enter 10 digit code in Active code.
