    Problem on certain Sly frequencies

I keep experiencing signal drop outs on Sly Sports - although I get 92% on itv, channel 5 etc and 82% on Bt Sports the signal on quite a few Sly channels is 0% have there been frequency changes. Anyone else having the same problems ? Do I need to do a blind search.
Using Channelmaster 1.2, Technomate 6900hd Combo Super

    Cheers

This has happened to me on a few occasions and any one of the following has fix it,...not sure which one.

    Rescan channels
Change the f-connectors around on the lnb.
Change the channels,...ie, pick a different version of Sly Sports,...there are several of them.

    seems to work for me.

Interesting mate, you'd THINK it would be better for an 'important' transmission?

Probably deliberate to reduce the footprint and reduce non paying numbers.

That seems unlikely - I'd go for some techy reason.

Most signal strength indicators report the whole of a transponder (not just a channel within a transponder). They are also slightly affected by the data content - watch a real-time signal strength indicator and it will waver all over the place. So my guess is that the transponder is passing more data during big matches and that adversely affects the signal reading.

SES operate the satellites and whole blocks of channels come from the onboard transmitting aerials (dishes). I can't see SES wanting to use up valuable power just to placate Roop.

I have too thought this as i have observed it happening many times..Usually during major sports events..the beams are tight already but to reduce it further seems plausable...however i see your point Detlef :cheers2:
