as its a complicated subject, then no there are no simple answers, so you just have to read the general sections and any box or other technical sections suitable for you , depending on any equipment you have or are thinking about buying
check the general sat forum, dish forum , lnb forum , android and kodi forums , plus any box forums like VU or Spiderbox etc
each sat box forum usually has a FAQ and GUIDE forum with sticky threads to help newbies
there are also discussion forums for tv , sat boxes and similar products too
