See Version 955 now out for TomTom 'proper' - so here's hoping our trusty comrade Russell1 will again please post us an android version as soon as it becomes available?
    Thanks Russell in anticipation!

You have to copy 'Tomtom' file AND apk. files (separately) into your phone memory, then run the apk. from the phone memory!

you copy the extracted tomtom folder to the phone memory or to the sdcard disk , root folder

you also copy the extracted apk file to the same place as the tomtom folder (the root)

then run the apk file using file explorer or esfile-explorer if you have it (any file manager)

as for tablets, if it is android and has gps installed then yes you should find that it works, same as on a gps equipped android phone

the fact its a phone or not is not relevant , as the texting and phone communications sides are not being used

Thanks for replying mate - I do find it odd though, when I've managed to install it on several Galaxy models, e.g. S3, S3 mini, Note 3 and Tab 3, so very disappointing?

works on my Samsung S5 Mini too and seems to be on sdcard where I installed it from, then got uk + ire maps

if I check UPGRADE it tells me its licensed to 2049 as you say, no idea what the mileage limit may be though

thanks echelon, that is the 1 im using now. like you its on my sdcard and licensed to 2049. but cannot find the mileage limit, rusell1 said the 30 mile limit is taken out so i assume its unlimited.
    thank you.

just a update in the upgrade it as
    freemium license
    valid until 31/12/2049

so i dont know if the 30 mile limit is taken out.

See new maps version 960 out today on my Start 25, so does this mean that the 'Go' version posted by Russell1 the other day will automatically update from 955 to 960 please, e.g. for my Note 3 etc?

    extend your purchase

ive just logged in and its got

    unlimited navigation
    valid until 31/12/2049
