Which image do you have loaded?
You have the options, in Black Hole, to fine tune using Diseqc 1.2.

How have you set up your tuners?
Have you set up Tuner A, using the advanced option, and to Diseqc 1.2, switched off the Usals options and stored each satellite, e.g. Astra 1, 19.2E, 001?
I'm using a 36v motor, and a V-Box II, so have to use the Diseqc 1.2 option, but my receiver moves the dish, using positioner movement option, under Black Hole 2.14.

Check your cables aren't loose, and as DCG suggests try using Usals.
If it still will not move try a new image, if it still wont move then you need to trace the fault, check all cables, and the motor, and if the motor has a manual option try the buttons.

I dont think rasp is using a 36v motor or a vbox in this case (nor a dark box either)

the tuner can be set to diseqc v1.2 or usals, and the dark motor can use either

I tend to use USALS myself in the last few years but my duo is not operating my motor, it just gets a feed

I too would advise using usals for this , but rasp can use either if its a solo 2 and a dark motor being used

Checked the motor and lnb cables hanging on a ladder seems ok.

Made new ends on on connections into box.

Even reset motor by pressing east and west together for ten seconds.

Tried two tuner configs A set to advanced and B second cable of motorized dish and vice versa

Just to add before this i was using a spiderbox 6000 on lnb1 to motor.

And second lnb cable to lnb1 on vu box.

Sold the spiderbox big Mistake i think.

Try doing a full backup and loading Black Hole, just to test if this image will move your motor.

Finally got it sorted tried BH but heavy load of unwanted stuff on Vix is much smaller and load what i want from plugins.

Checked cables again not touched anything and motor started to work ok

I found i was moving east or west and it was going past sat positions.Tried search east or west found 13.0 e late last night .

The tuner on this box is nowhere near as good as the spiderbox 6000 and the fine tune is crap.

The positioner on hotbird says it was 70% signal on strongest transponder but scanned and viewed the signal was 90/89%

And on 28.2 e said the same but viewing FTA was 100/95% but postioner said was lower.

how can you fine tune when it does not the right levels in the first place.

Aren't these motors built to follow the arc of all the sats? so in theory if your dish is installed correctly all you need to do is put the correct latitude and longitude in for where you live and stick a setting in of your choice (catseye, vhannable etc etc) and away you go?ok different weather conditions play their part but you're never going to get 100% on every channel?I'm no expert but i'm happy with my solo 2.I switched from Vix to openAtv btw and I personally think it's better.
