Pli & Cross EPG Issues

Can someone upload a working version of Cross EPG to use with open pli images please?

Tried several versions from pli site but none working properly

Open Tv downloads but shows no info

No UK version of XEPGDB or XMLTV providers

you should just install crossepg from the plugin menu (green)

First of all have you installed libcurl ?
(from telnet; opkg install curl)
so annoying that PLi still don't include this in the image.

To populate the xml lists you need to press on 'update rytec providers' and 'update xepgdb providers' in the crossepg menu)

Yes m8 done all those with no success
Had a look on pli board & tried one or two versions uploaded in cross epg section but still no good

Im hoping Ian who uses pli images might be able to throw some light on this issue

try deleting your crossepg folder on usb then re-trying
files sometimes get corrupted

I abandoned Cross epg some time ago partially because of problems but mainly because I needed an epg for 27.5 West. So for about a year I have have been using xmltvimport combined with xmltv import-rytec both available in extensions download I have not had any problems, give it a try. If you need more help just shout.

Annoying thing is Cross epg works fine on black hole & other images so cant understand why it cant be made to work as it used to with pli??

Its got to be one of the most well used e2 plugins & has been around for years

I've uploaded some screenshots of what's showing on screen of box

The downloads panel of open pli lists 2 versions of cross epg to download & install

Both have same problem using vu duo 1 & vu zero boxes

It appears that there are parts of the files missing (as shown in pics 1 & 2)

This has come to light since reflashing the software on both boxes yesterday

Can anyone advise on this?

Also if u click the older version to install on the pli feeds it will still install the newer version..

looks like a crossepg problem at the mo
cannot retieve rytec sources
and my fully populated xepgdb has just shrunk to 4, in the interest of helping ;(

opentv is working ok though

There has been a problem with rytec sources, I found this when I had a problem with epg import and it is still working for me it goes in /etc/epgimport but of course it will be .different for Cross epg. However you may be able to use it.

This downloads & goes through the motions so to speak but when i click epg on box it lists only a limited amount of info

for example just the BBC channels

Try this worked for me earlier not my work from another community instructions inside, Rytec back working but still no joy for XEPGDB

I get a full list with opentv, not sure what you can be doing wrong.

Strange thing is opentv works fine on vu duo 2/pli which hasn't been reflashed recently

The other boxes vu duo 1 & vu zero both were reflashed on Monday night & its those two that I cant get opentv to work properly

this worked for me on blk hole 2.1.5 on my vu+duo2 crossEPG 0.8.1

Still having problems with Open TV & Vu duo (mark 1) using latest pli image

Ive reflashed again today & deleted all traces of cross epg from HDD etc

When I select download I get following error message

Anyone have any clues on this one??
