I use a memory stick for epg
I have it configured to usb in the panel
never tried with hard drive.
wonder if that's your problem.

looking at your earlier screenshot that is just showing the freesat epg
so as this is a new install have you once again added libcurl as without it it just wont work

Yes gives option of using Cruzer USB stick
Both rytec & other providers are updated prior to downloading open tv
Yes have ticked boxes saved & rebooted box to be sure
As saint mentioned earlier its only downloading freesat data for some strange reason
I will have another look tomorrow
Thanks to those whom have contributed
no its not downloading the freesat data that's being done by you going on a freesat channel not by crossepg
I'm using 0.8.1 dl from pli addons and opentv is working fine
no need to update rytec or xepgdb providers as this is dl from sat not web
check for a software update (menu/setup)
Im finally pleased to announce Ive fixed this problem at long last:respect-059:
After several attempts to resolve I decided to remove the HDD from inside the box (Hitachi Deskstar 500gb)
Reflashed in pli & updated as usual
& low & behold open tv downloads & works as it should-with data going to the usb stick
Im confused as to why the HDD would stop open tv from downloading
I even formatted it to resolve, which had no effect on the problem
Anyway all sorted now!
On the Duo2 and the Solo SE I have updated the crossepg_rytec_update.py and the crossepg_rytec_update.pyo files into:-
DCC E2 /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/CrossEPG/
Rytec updates perfectly, however does anyone have the xpdgdb version as that has only 4 updates now working.
Thanks
"I have have been using xmltvimport combined with xmltv import-rytec both available in extensions download " nml
Always end up pulling my hair out with EPG's, unti this suggestion.
Thanks a lot nml.
