    android/xbmc/kodi questions from new user

I've been waiting for my android box to arrive for the last month , so in the meantime I installed the above files onto a spare tablet . No probs ,all working fine including TVMC . My box arrived yesterday and all the add-ons are now on , but one question .............can I install TVMC on to it ? without overwriting existing firmware . I know TVMC is just an app and as far as I can tell the MBOX will accept app's , so I just want to be sure .
    thanks

I dont see why not, its never overwritten anything I have had, neither has kodi either

I have had 3 or 4 on one box, all as separate apps and neither interfering with each other

Many thanks for that echelon, I'm new to these Android boxes , just owned one for a day , just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to ruin the box on the second day :-)

install XBMC BACKUP on your box (if its not on it already) and backup the current xbmc on your box before messing with it

you can like ech said put on what you like ie gotham 13.1/13.2. kodi 14/14.1/14.2 that will not over write anything. but if you use gotham 13.1 and install gotham 13.1 again that will over write your first 1 and so on . so look at version. me i only use gotham 13.2 because i think that is stable. if you want a custom 1 use the 1 in post #6 then install a different version and add your own source g o o g l e there's loads of advice on there.

Just checked the box and it has v13.2 on it ,so I'll leave it at that .TVMC is on and working fine as it is on the tablet .One thing though ,I keep getting a pop up about Super user permissions , grant or deny . Something about it could be potentially dangerous . Dont know what that is all about and whether to accept it or keep denying it .
