    Tm 5402 m2 -> m3 ?

    Have decided to get myself the M3 as a birthday pressy to myself. Found it for £107 including delivery. Can anybody tell me if I can just swap the usb drive out of my M2 into the new box and have no file compatibility problems? Am I correct in assuming that the addons are also compatible>

    I have used the same usb stick on all versions of the 5402 without issues.
    Theres no need for addon on M3 as built in unlike mk1/2 where you have to add the addon manually.
    Softcams etc load usual way and iptv files loaded same as softcams.

    Well I'm up and running and have to say I'm very impressed. I really like the new UI and channel scanning seems lightning fast. Haven't had a chance to test the tuner sensitivity yet. When I get a chance I'll give 16E a go as that bird was always a problem for me.

    Patch 126p is okay its likely the best were likely to ever see for this Box TM5402 M3 HD
    IPTV And Hard Stion 1/2 are nice bonuses , but Feed hunting / Tuner and Biss Key Lines are what i bought the TM5402 M3 HD for and so far with this 126p patch its doing the job fairly well ..support could be a lot better however but i guess Mr.Phantom got it pretty much spot on with his latest patch from last year so cant complain too much .
    cheers .

    A lot of the IPTV channels come up as "Invalid Channel" when I select them. Is there a way to edit the list and is there a list of "good" channels?

    Think this will always happen with IPTV channels mate as they never last long on 'free' lists at any rate!
    Which list are YOU using anyway mate?

    The one which came with the receiver. I don't know anything about IPTV so I'm on yet another learning curve. Hope it's not too steep!:-)

    When I first started out I had a Technomate 5500 cip with 36v output ( remember 36v ? ) and was always very impressed with the tuner, it use to pull in many channels from 7.0w that other receivers never saw. Trouble with me for the last 7 years I've been too lazy with using linux receivers with you know what wink wink to really remember the good old days of channel hunting.

    Just adding my bit in saying the mk3 has the best tuner for weak signals i have come across in the tm models especially with the latest patch. Picking up transponders on 4w and 7w especially that the mk1 did not pull in. Even worked out the problem with deleting tps on some sats that would come back in when going back in menu, that is when deleted come out of main menu and go back into advance search and the tp should stay deleted. Only problem i cannot rectify is on some channels it will expand/default to a fuller screen cutting off the logos etc as if in ntsc mode even though i have it on pal in main menu and tried auto but still does not work. Does anyone know the solution?
