    FTP = File Transfer Protocol

programs to use include the following

    DCC (dreambox control centre)
    Filezilla
    Flash FXP

also the tool VuCC which incorporates filezilla

navigate to the var/etc folder and edit the cccam.cfg file therein

    follow this guide

    https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthrea...ing-up-Vu-Solo

    https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthread...e2-emus-(2013)

FTP the cam-filename.tgz or ipk file to the /tmp folder on Vu+ (usually this is var/tmp)

Press Green Button then Yellow Button on Vu+ remote control.
    Select Manual Install Bh Package.
Select the cam-filename.tgz file and press OK.
Message will appear - Do you want to install cam-filename.tgz
    Select "Yes" and press OK.
    Message will appear - Installed.
Press the exit button on remote a couple of times to come out of all the menus.

    5. Activate Cam
Press the Blue button and use the < > buttons on remote to select the CAM
Press OK to run the CAM.

the cccam cfg file is located in var/etc after the correct cam emu has been installed

( On E2 Boxes the 3C.config is Located at /etc with Attributes set to 755 or All config files can be found in /etc )

These latter instructions are for Blackhole Image

if you have not installed cccam, it needs installing as above tutorial mentions

you ftp the program IPK file (transfer the file) to var/tmp using an ftp program like I mentioned earlier
this is the tmp folder located inside the var folder on the box - hence var/tmp

then you use the IPK installer to install it (from the main menu or plugin menu - wherever it is mentioned)

this gives you the correct cccam files in the correct places

your N line needs adding to cccam.cfg file which is located in the etc folder which is inside the var folder , hence var/etc

use edit in the ftp program , copy , paste , save the n line
(edit the file , copy the n line you were given , paste into the cfg file , save it)

then restart enigma2 from the main menu, and test

for ftp, try either VuCC 0.8 with filezilla , or dcc 150 (dreambox control centre)

    there is no cccam folder

there is a cccam ipk file , this goes into var/tmp as mentioned earlier , so transferred into the var/tmp folder using an FTP program

then you install this file like a program on your pc , using the ipk installer in your menu

    restart E2

now ftp into var/etc and find the cfg file, right mouse and choose edit, copy and paste the C or N line into the top line
(moving the existing top line down to line 2)
    save and exit

    restart E2

blue button , choose cccam as your emu and start it

    exit and test the channels

ps:- if using VuCC you need to select filezilla for this (so no black part)

use an FTP program , logging into the vu

the folders on the vu will appear on one side and your pc will appear on the other
(understanding the use of an ftp program is vital here, do not expect tutorials on using them)

use VuCC and filezilla , or DCC for this

on the vu side, open the var folder, then open the etc folder

scroll down and find the cccam.cfg file

press right mouse on it and select edit

highlight and copy your N line into your memory cache on your pc
(or press return on the top line so it drops down one line)
(then select the top line again and type in your N line)

or select the top left of the open cfg file and paste it in , with a return key press at the end to drop the top line down one line

your top line will now have the N line in it , with all the previous info below it

    save

    exit

    restart E2 from the menu

select cccam 230 in the onscreen menu under the blue button

save it (with autostart if it lets you)

    test the channels
