    SPIDERBOX stuck on F 100

    Hi

    Can someone please help me

I switched on my SPIDERBOX 9000HD and it is stuck on

    F 100

It will not move from the F100

It will not turn off using remote

    It just sits on F100

The only way to turn it off is pull plug on mains

    Thanks for reading this

read the posts about reflashing it with a null modem cable and the repair files, especially by reading the posts containing the repair files and the info file within the repair files themselves

so its reflash it using the repair files and a null modem cable , using the loader tool, the repair file and a pc with a serial port, preferably running windows xp

I am not able to connect to a COM port to re flash the 9000HD

    Sorry about this

I have now found a com port

    I am using com port3

    Then choose file

    I load HD9000-_rS232_0629.bin
    I then turn on 9000

    Nothing happens

As satpaul has stated did you follow All of the instruction for the recovery file, the receiver should be switched off at the mains, then start the HD9000-_rS232_0629.bin file, then switch on the power at the mains the receiver boots up, and the recovery file should start to run.

yes you probably do need those drivers to make this adapter work, which is why I said use a pc running xp, one with built in com ports

    here is what I said

reflash it using the repair files and a null modem cable , using the loader tool, the repair file and a pc with a serial port, preferably running windows xp
here is all the info on setting it up , posted a few years ago now

    https://www.satpimps.co.uk/showthrea...Com-port-setup

you may find similar info in some of the other forums here, for when we had to use programmers and other boxes that used serial loading , like the old technomates and samsungs and humax etc ( the ones we used 10 to 15 years ago)

you better find the disk then , or search the net for suitable drivers, you may even find the drivers listed in one of our forums here or on other forums , back in the days when these questions were a daily occurrence

until you find the drivers for that usb adapter, you will fail

or use a desktop pc running xp , with the built in fifo com ports round the back

I've read in the internet that with the spiderbox 9000 hd there is a fault that occurs when it's not software, which causes the F100 fault.

This is a blown transistor, near the tuner module, TIP42C - these can be bought from e- bay for about £1, you should try replacing this before you consign your box to the bin mate as this is supposed to fix most boxes that get that fault when it can't be recovered by doing a flash (ie it's a hardware error rather than software).
