    27.5 west guide

    27.5 west

    for solo2

    4 files are below unzip and
    go in the folder you will see

    bbc_pmt_starter.sh
    bbc_pmt_v4.py
    enigma2_pre_start.sh
    dvbsnoop

    use dreambox control centre
    send all four files to /usr/bin
    right click each file select attributes
    tick 755
    click ok

    thats that bit done

    now we install the lamedb file

    download and unzip the lamedb file

    do not have a 27.5 channel on the tv
    put it on any other channel while we copy the lamedb over

    use dreambox control centre
    using ftp go to /etc/enigma2/lamedb (the e2 folder where lamedb resides)
    dont open the lamedb file
    now click telnet in dcc to put commands in

    type init 4
    press enter on keyboard
    that stops enigma2 running (fta channel freezes)
    now click ftp in dcc again
    and send the lamedb file to /etc/enigma2 on your box
    overwrite the old one
    attributes for the lamedb are 644

    now click telnet in dcc yet again

    type init 3
    press enter on keyboard

    that starts enigma2 (E2 reboots back to the fta channel you were on)

    thats that bit done

    now we need to install oscam-ymod

    see post below

    oscam-ymod

    download the oscam-ymod ipk for vix or blackhole below
    put ipk file on a usb stick plug it in to your box
    it will then prompt to install it

    vix ipk has no camscripts
    download them below and ftp both folders to /usr
    attributes 755 all files

    for openpli4 see ** below

    ftp to /etc/tuxbox/config
    and delete everything inside these 3 files
    oscam.conf
    oscam.user
    oscam.server

    and replace with data below
    nothing needs to be in oscam.server for 27.5 to work

    download oscam.keys
    and ftp to /etc/tuxbox/config

    restart oscam on your image
    go to a 27.5 west channel

    if you get no picture
    go to your plugin openwebif
    enable yes
    authentication no
    port 80
    restart enigma2

    once working i show how to lock that down
    with port of your choice

    ==========================

    ** for openpli4 image

    download the openpli.rar
    unzip and send files to

    softcam.oscam to /etc/init.d
    attributes 755

    oscam bin file to /usr/bin
    attributes 755

    the config folder and its contents to
    /etc/tuxbox
    attributes config folder 755
    all files inside that 644

    restart oscam

    all config should look like this on all images

    oscam.conf

    Code:
    [global]
    nice = -1
    WaitForCards = 0
    logfile = stdout
    preferlocalcards = 1
    saveinithistory = 1

    [webif]
    httpport = 16002
    httpuser = username
    httppwd = password
    httprefresh = 30
    httpallowed = 0.0.0.0-255.255.255.255

    [dvbapi]
    enabled = 1
    boxtype = dreambox
    user = test
    pmt_mode = 0
    request_mode = 1
    oscam.user

    Code:
    [account]
    user = test

    only do this
    once you have it working

    to lock down
    go to plugin openwebif

    example

    enable yes
    authentication yes
    port 21000

    ftp to /usr/bin
    look for
    bbc_pmt_starter.sh

    edit this line

    Code:
    "bbc_pmt_v4.py -t long -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0"
    to

    Code:
    "bbc_pmt_v4.py -t long -d /dev/dvb/adapter0/demux0 -a root:password -p 21000"
    change the password to your real password

    SAVE

    use any port you like
    port must match in openwebif

    reboot

    pretty good ozzsurf !!

    Just a quick note. If by any chance you also have a sealion you need the oscam.server file with the right entries in order to use oscam-ymod all the time while zapping. Otherwise you will have to change cams every time you go from 27.5W to any other given satellite you normally clear with cccam.

    also

    one of the most common mistakes while installing oscam-ymod is to send the config folder directly into the etc/tuxbox directory. You need to first create a folder there and name it config with 755 attributes. Only then you should send the oscam config there. Also make sure you have no cams running while installing it.

    Cheers

    I suppose I should have a go at this even though I don't need it.

    I am having problems installing the ipk enigma2 plugin openvix file.
    I download and save it on pc then send it to usb stick. place stick in solo2 and it says install extensions. I press ok and it shows up in ipk installer and then I press green to install. I then says Done - installed, upgraded or removed 0 packages (with 0 errors) Am I doing something wrong? Any help please

    not sure what you are doing but normally you ftp any ipk files to tmp or var/tmp, then use the menu to install them from var/tmp , using flash fxp or VuCC0.8 or DCC or total commander (to transfer them over)

    I believe that I have followed this to the letter on my vuduo running openpli but failed to get it to work.

    Checked it over three times and all seems ok. keys are good.

    Do I need to open any ports in my router?

    Do I need to make any adjustments to pids?

    I rescanned. Restarted my box. restarted oscam.

    Totally baffled now.

    I was following ozzsurfs instructions on post #2 using DCC. I have just tried as you suggested but when I try to install I get the message as above.

    I used the 18-54 one that I had, and are pleased to say that iv'e managed to get the channels to open.

    Thanks ozzsurf. Great work.

    ozzsurf. When you describe locking down (whatever that means) you say:
    enable yes
    authentication yes
    port 21000

    Is the port the HTTP port which is currently on 00080 or the HTTPS one which is on 00443?

    do you use a password to lock down your box and webif ?

    if so you can add it in the bbc_pmt_starter.sh file
    and also change the port

    as in post 3

    No, I don't use a password to lock down box. So does that mean I can just ignore that part?
