    5TB USB3.0 hard drive @ Argos

Mighty 5TB Seagate external HDD (usb3.0) for 119 quid (+you get a 10 pounds voucher to spend instore making it £109) works out at 24 quid /TB
Good offer and am seriously considering getting one for myself. Grab yours quickly if you are interested. Won't be there for long since it was made hot on the hotukdeals (and things that are made this hot tend to dissappear from the shelves extra quick so reserve yours quickly if you want one)

They must have dropped the price since the Argos's deal was posted on hotukdeal (I checked at the time and it was still the full price) Excellent offer as you get it for the 109.99 immediately (without having to claim the voucher) Good find

    Heres one review
Less then two months after i pluged in drive it CRASHED!!!! I had just transfered ALL my family photos and videos to it...NOW I AM LOST as well as 3 terabytes of data!!!!!!! No data recovery posible says SEAGATE...and now i have to wait to get my drive back from that process(data NON-recovery) to be able to send it in, to another SEAGATE department, to even see if i can get a replacement....From what others have told me only 10% of people complaining to Seagate get replacements rest are passed off as user error/fault!!!!!! SUCKS!!!!! DAMN DRIVE is costing me more then if i had bought it localy......They say online is more cost and time effective....UNTILL SOMETHING GOES WRONG...THEN IT IS COST AND TIME IN-EFFECTIVE!!!!

    Here is yet another review:

    30 November 2014

    FAKE ALERT

I bought this drive today and connected it. Got a flashing LED but no sounds of the drive spinning up. I removed the lid (I am a qualified computer builder) and was presented by a 40GB 5.25" ATA WD drive when there should have been a 5TB 5.25" SATA Seagate drive in there. The drive wasn't spinning up as it wasn't connected.
BE WARNED all the seals and plastic wrap were in place so are Argos buying Fake Equipment.
Will be returning this drive tomorrow for a full refund.

I wont be buying then.. too much risk (unless of course the reviews are being posted by competition or a nutcase of which the net is full of which may well be the case) Wont risk it though.
I guess if someone was to risk it and buy one it would be best to go with Amazon (they have a fair returns policy in case something goes wrong) Then again it may well be after the guarantee period so probably its best to AVOID)
