    vu+zero usb

    can i put a usb flash drive 8gb in the back. and do a full back, if so how do i do it with the vu+ zero. or will i have to use usb hdd. and what size can it use external the solo2 is 1tb thanks.

    I use16gb USB flash drives and you can use them for backing up complete images or just settings, never really seen the point of complete image backups as you only needs your settings and plugins.

    eb*yer have white 32 gig toshiba usb drives on offer today for £7.99p with free delivery

    these toshiba usb flash drives are excellent and well worth the money

    they also have 16 gig and other drives at cheap prices too, usually less than a fiver

    so no excuses for people to not have larger usb drives at these prices

    the only ones better than the above are the very small black versions like kingston or datawrite or similar , as they are ideal for boxes, especially black boxes

    yep, I bought some of those orange lexar ones myself, as well as the toshiba ones

    at these prices , there is no excuse for not having them

    I use a 32gb Scandisk one just fine for Live Pause/Timeshift, I've yet to setup an external HDD for recording. Just don't forget to format the USB stick to fat32 not NTFS and then mount it using the software (Blackhole or similar).
