heres how to stream your E2 using Samsung S5 to a Google Chromecast

    Hi guys.

I was bored today, and wanted to stream the footy to tv upstairs where i have a ChromeCast plugged in...so i looked around the forums but couldnt find anything that was simple enough, there are solutions dont get me wrong, but i wanted something quick and easy.

NB: ChromeCast doesnt natively support .ts streams :(

Anwyay, heres how i achieved it. (PS it will probably work with all Android phones, not just a Samsung)

Assumptions: E2 box, Chromecast, and mobile phone are all connected to your LAN.

On the phone, download and INSTALL VLC and AndroidDreamer and the Google Chromecast App

Configure AndroidDreamer app on your phone to your E2 box (needs your E2 box IP address, and the login details and port)

Once done, load the Chromecast app on your phone, and choose CAST SCREEN - so it is casting your phones display. It will say (now casting this screen to "your chromecast name"

Now, load AndroidDreamer, and click "View Bouquets" once, they load, choose a channel. and select Stream Channel\YES, when you get the choice of apps, choose VLC, after a few moments your phones screen will go black, BUT the channel will start playing on your TV (where the chromecast is plugged in)

Thats it - the audio is out a little out of sync, but its ok for something like football \ sport.

    Cheers all!
