    How without USALS ?

    We had so much rain here last week my Disecq motor seems to now have a mind of its own.

    I cannot seem to move my dish with USALS anymore, without it moving from extreme east to west and then back again.

    Is there another way that I can move my dish to the correct position for 19e, 13e and 1w without having to use the move east and west buttons every time ?

    I know you can store positions against numbers 1, 2 etc.

    Can you then press goto that stored number position ?

    My motor might need to be replaced anyway.

    Thanks very much.

    Have you checked the cables at the motor? You might have water in them? Also I would send the dish to 0 deg (this may Sync your box to the motor again) and input your positions again then see what the result is?

    if its a dark motor...and you want to reset it...underneath the actual motor you will see west and east manual buttons
    press both of these at same time...hold for 10 seconds...your light will flash amber/orange
    when its stopped flashing...your motor is reset
    now you should be able go to your sats...and just for checking...restore them...in whatever way you require
    ie..28e = 1...19east =2 and so on
    then when you are on a satalite...go on a channel...press ok...and you will see search ..satalite etc...select sat..by scrolling left or right...
    press ok...and dish should now move to selected sat..
    this sounds long winded as reading this..but when doing takes seconds./.hope this helps

    " I cannot seem to move my dish with USALS anymore, without it moving from extreme east to west and then back again. "

    It could be that the cogs in the motor are worn, to such an extent that they no longer stop the motor from moving/stopping at any Sat, or it could be that you have had water ingress in the cable at the motor end, you could rectify that by cutting back the cable a little and making a new connection to the motor, and see if that helps.
