is openbox v5 the same as skyboxv5?

hi all have just purchased a openbox v5s off flea bay, I know some members of this forum have skybox v5.

although this forum does not have a dedicated skybox/openbox section for info firmware etc.

am I correct in assuming that firmware for skybox v5 can be used on openbox v5?

and is firmware loaded via rs32 port or usb.

and does the (additional firmware open more channels ) than what comes with the original box, in the same way as sb 600 has the gift option.

yes skybox v5s and f5 are exactly the same box and use the same firmware and channell list . and both channel list and firmware are updated by a clean usb stick . for more info go to sattv5s . hope this helps.

Thanks for info mate, only disappointing thing for ME is that C.Waite still can't, or doesn't, produce a 'multisat' channel list when the box is capable of using it!
Is there any way of mes****ng them to enquire?
