Icecrypt s1600chd

Buenas a todos.

Tengo un problema con un Icecrypt S1600CHD.
Este deco no arranca , no da imagen en tv , al conectarlo a la energia electrica se enciende el led verde ( Nº 1 ) el de la izquierda de la imagen un par de segundos y luego se apaga y ya no hace nada mas.

I have a problem with a Icecrypt S1600CHD.
This deco does not start, does not image on TV, when connected to the electric power the green LED (No. 1) lights on the left of the picture a couple of seconds and then extinguishes and does nothing more.

He intentado recuperarlo por USB y por RS232 con el ultimo firmware y otros guiandome por las instrucciones de este tema : S1650CHD dead after firmware update

Por el USB stick marca Kingston 4GB ( Con led indicador ) se queda indefinidamente parpadeando pero no termina de cargar ( espere mas de 30 minutos ) , luego por RS232 nullmodem no logro que conecte el deco con el programa ( mas abajo pongo imagen conexionado de mi cable nullmodem ) .

Translation into English : For the USB stick Mark Kingston 4GB (with LED indicator) remains indefinitely blinking but not finished loading (wait more than 30 minutes), then by RS232 nullmodem I fail to connect the deco with the program (below I put wiring image of my Cable nullmodem).

Pero no consigo que el programa Upgrade Tool Version 2.0.0c. 2008-01-25 conecte con el Icecrypt S1600CHD.

Errores que me da el programa :

1 ) Open Serial Port..
Sync to serial port..
Target not connect or target is error status!

2 ) Open Serial Port..
Sync to serial port..
Get Client protocol version & chunk
Time out when read data!



Espero que me podais dar algo de informacion porque estoy muy perdido y frustrado.

English only, my Spanish is "holiday" only!
It looks as if the 1600 is not booting at all as once the green LED comes on, it should stay on as long as the unit has power. (So trying to use the RS232 or USB ports is probably not going to help).
It could mean that the PSU is not providing all the correct voltages, but the fact that the green LED comes on initially shows that at least 5V is correct, but as USB stick is still flashing, it means that the 1600 has not been able to read it, but 5v is still active after the green LED goes out.
Try measuring the other voltages - Is there 12 volts showing on the IF in centre pin?
When I get chance, I'll open up my 1600 and check what volts are where and when they come up.

It sounds like the loader may be damaged

Have a look at this posted by ColdAsICE it was related to the 1650 but they are so close
It explains how to load from USB when the box is possibly corrupted MAKE SURE YOU USE 1600 firmware

I have not made it back. I'm testing with RS232 cable and Upgrade_1.1.08 new program, but I miscommunications, still not exactly as it is the connection of the 3-wire RS232 - Jack.

USB stick + firmware S1600C_1.6.28.abs renamed "auto1.abs" achievement not to work.

My doubts are about rs232 cable connections - jack 3.5:

This null modem cable is made for me, but not if you have connected.

I have checked my cable and can advise that the connections which you have posted in your first post are correct but the one you have not shown ( connection 4 on the 3.5mm) in the drawing goes to pin 5 also.

So I have connected to Jack 3.5 and also in bottom plate and there is no way to load the firmware -- Español = Así lo he conectado a Jack 3.5 y también en la placa inferior y no hay forma de cargar el firmware




Load firmware renamed "auto 1.ABS" -- Español = Carga de firmware renombrado como " auto1.abs" :

i bought one of these a few weeks ago to test, slow and sluggish i would say

i must update this comment on the icecrypt 1600chd that i posted,
the newer icecrypt 1600chd second edition is completely superior to the first, great value , different box completely ,

I upgraded an icecrypt s1600chd receiver via ftp and now the menu settings ask for a password.
Does anybody know the password or can provide any other sollution?
