    Struggling with Vu plus duo???

Hi, this is my first post, I thought I was gonna get this setup by just reading all info from this site but I'm now struggling?

So far I have managed to install Vix, setup epg, bouquets, channel list and working okay with FTV.
Now I've IPK a Cccam 2.2.1. Used FileZilla to place my Cccam file in etc, FTP this back to vu, restarted Cccam file on box and then ...... Nothing but FTV?
On my vu Cccam says active, box says connected to net but in Cccam info there is nothing?? I'm wondering if in need to do something to my modem/router??

Had this vu for 4 weeks and if I'm honest I'm getting a bit fed up with it. This is my last resort, if you guys can't help then the box is going up for sale.

So there it is, all advice appreciated just please go easy on me.

Your CCcam.cfg file goes in the var folder, then etc sub folder.
You should already have a CCcam.cfg file, in the var, etc folder, which you can right click on and edit.

As per Mickha above but it can also depend on the image you are using. Normally for E2 images it goes in /etc/ (same as /var/etc/) but on ATV goes in /usr/Keys/.

Also, suggest installing cccaminfo plugin so that you can monitor what is going on with it.

    Good luck.

You do not mention if you have any c lines in you CCcam.cfg.

Also make sure the attributes are set to 775

Yes my CCcam.cfg file is in the var, etc folder, which I right click on and edit. I have 5 c lines in the file, I just copy and paste as intructed.
Where are the attributes, I have not checked if these are set to 775?
I have just noticed if I go to CCcam Info and select Servers there is 5 c lines in there but all have a red dot at the start?
My only other thought is I've not got the right info in the CCcam file? All thats in there is the Clines, should there be anything else?

    sounds like your running ok,
no need to set attributes to 755 for a config file (it's only read , not executed)
so the connections are all inactive (not you but them)
if they are with friends then tell them this and I'm sure everything will be fine
if you have paid for these lines then live and learn,
your just another sucker in the long list of suckers

Aha, well these are 48hr test clines so maybe, but to be fair the sender seemed helpful and replied to all my questions and gave me some instruction. Could it not be anything else, what do the red dots I mentioned mean?

Contact your supplier and explain the problem.
How have you got your VU+ Duo connected to the router, cable or wireless?

So a quick update.....I am up and running baby!!

My testers had ran out, so I emailed them as suggested above, got some new testers, copy and paste them in my CCcam file using filezilla and Hey Presto.

So basically the whole experience has taken a while but it was pretty easy and straight forward. I would advise any newbies to get all info and files first before setup and read read read up all the guides.

My next task is to sort my epg, for some reason every now and again it goes large and unreadable? In the meantime I'm going to get these testers paid and made into full working Clines.

    Cheers

Using pay servers is why we don't have HD anymore. Try and free share not line the pockets of these s***bags

if you update to latest VIX , you probably need to go to Cccam 2.3.0 for dual channel decoding.Old version does not work anymore.

Doh, I wasn't aware you could get these lines for free Stev0!?!

Don't know what dual channel decoding means at the minute bellejt, I've only just got started.

The epg size changing is what I want to sort out next, if anyone knows where I can find the answer to that?
